Dear friends of Indefinite Arts Centre,

I am pleased to share with you that our organization will be returning home to 8038 Fairmount Drive. The move will begin at the end of June and is expected to be finalized prior to the reopening of our studio on July 16, 2018.

IAC staff have been working closely with the City of Calgary and other stakeholders to ensure that the facility is structurally sound and safe for our occupancy. This has been thoroughly reviewed and confirmed to our satisfaction. At this stage, contractors are working around the clock to reconnect utilities and make any necessary — mostly cosmetic — repairs.

I would like to take this time to thank the City of Calgary for being a supportive partner in helping us through this ongoing transition. I would also like to once again thank YMCA Calgary for giving us a wonderful temporary space at Shane Homes YMCA immediately following the February 20, 2018 incident. We will miss working in your space and with your amazing team of staff and volunteers — but we also know this is the very beginning of what we hope to be a longstanding partnership.

And, finally, to our artists, their family and support workers — thank you. Your patience and resilience has helped us make it through this challenging time.

More details will be announced regarding the July 16, 2018 reopening of our studio. We also plan to host a “welcome back” party with the community so please stay tuned for those details as well. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please contact 403.253.3174 and our team will be happy to answer them.

Yours sincerely,

Jung-Suk (JS) Ryu, CEO
