Statement from our CEO:
“Many of our staff members have been emotionally impacted by the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Some have seen systemic racism take place. Others have been the victim of it in some form or another.
As an organization that serves another vulnerable, often discriminated community, we stand up against racism and discrimination of all forms. It is wrong.
Guided by one of our three fundamental principles – courage – Indefinite Arts Centre is committed to being courageous in speaking out, standing up, and doing what we can within our mandate to break down an unjust system.
To this end, I encourage all of our artists to ask questions and explore this topic with us through art, or with your friends and family members. It’s important for all of us to know and acknowledge that we all have a role to play in this.”
