Alisha Marie was raised in Bass River, Nova Scotia and currently resides in Calgary, Alberta. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in Ceramics in 2018 from the Alberta College of Art + Design, and Level 1 certification in Expressive Arts Therapy in 2013 from the Prairie Institute of Expressive Arts Therapy.
Alisha Marie works across a diverse media, including ceramics, sculpture, ise katagami (Japanese paper cutting), fibre, writing, as well as acting/video work. She has recently been featured on TV Tokyo’s show “Who Wants to Come to Japan 世界ニッポン行きたい人応援団” which showcased her passion for ise katagami. Her most recent work has been showcased in “Nii Tskowaas/All My Relations,” “The Crafted Dish,” and “Peoples Portrait Prize 2017.”
