2019 International Exchange + Exhibition

Indefinite Arts Centre artists + works to be exhibited in two locations in Dubai

Thanks to funding received from Canada Council for the Arts, Global Affairs Canada, and the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Indefinite Arts Centre will be launching its 2019 International Exchange + Exhibition initiative in Dubai. In partnership with our sister organization Mawaheb, our artists’ works will be on display in two locations:

We are also pleased to announce that our exhibition at Mawaheb will be paired with a knowledge exchange initiative, where two of our artists (accompanied by support staff) and two of our studio staff will travel to Dubai for 5 days, engaging with Mawaheb staff and artists through a series of workshops, cultural immersion tours, and more.

Indefinite Arts Centre artists Roby King and Yunsun Lee will travel alongside staff members Karly Mortimer (Director, Artist and Program Development) and Vanessa Toews (Coordinator, Programs and Exhibitions). In addition, our CEO JS Ryu will be opening the show at the Dubai International Airport and engage in meetings with cultural leaders and officials from the United Arab Emirates.

We wish to thank the following partners for their investment in this historic initiative for our organization:

Canada Council for the Arts for funding support.
Global Affairs Canada – in particular, the Embassy of Canada to the United Arab Emirates – for funding and logistical support.
