In Light of Things presents a vibrant collection of cyanotype prints created by participants in the Aging Well with Art project. This group of works explore the individual and communal nature of memory, mapping various moments in time. Through material selection, composition and UV printing processes participants creating unique images that captured personal recollections.
The work in this exhibition were created by participants as part travelling art workshop presented as a part of Alberta’s Aging Well in Community initiative, supporting projects where community members of all ability levels were connected to the creative process. This project was developed and presented by Indefinite Arts Centre in partnership with numerous Senior’s groups, clubs and associations throughout Calgary including:
- Open Door Seniors Fellowship
- Falconridge Castleridge Seniors Club
- West Hillhust Go-Getters Seniors Club
- Kerby Centre
- Huntington Pioneers Association
- Kensington Commons (50+ group)
- Hillhurst Sunnyside Seniors Association
- South Fishcreek 50+ Seniors
