Natural Insight brings together the rich representation of nature from twenty-four Indefinite Arts Centre artists. These interpretations are a testament to our enduring fascination with our relationship to the natural world. What becomes evident is the importance of context in considering our relationship to nature. Their work reflects a proximity to their immediate surroundings: Snow-capped Rocky Mountains, springtime gardens, British Columbia lakes, and wildlife inhabitants. Natural Insight provides an intuitively artful impression of the non-human aspects of life.

The Indefinite Arts Centre is Canada’s oldest and largest disability arts organization, providing artistic training, creation, and exhibition opportunities for people with developmental, physical, and acquired disabilities.

Every week, 300+ artists come through our 12,000 square foot multimedia studio and gallery space in Calgary. Working alongside talented instructors, our artists are supported and empowered to experience the entire artistic creation process – from conceptualization to exhibition.

This exhibition features works from artists Kathy Austin, Lynn Cameron, Michelle Carscadden, Brian Ehniz, Sheila Elliot, Grant Golemblaski, Tony Goodison, Carol Harris, Alyssa Hatton, Joseph Hnatuk, Heather Jackson, Jessica Kowalski, Laura Lapeare, RJ Ledgerwood, Rod MacLoed, Sandy Milne, Margot Mooney, Jamie Petit, Jody Roll, Adeel Sadiq, Roma Shafer, Judy Tarves, Wayman Tibbit, and Lam Tram.
