Leighton Art Centre

September 2018-March 2019: Landscape Art Residency at Leighton Art Centre – Thanks to generous funding received from the Rozsa Foundation, a group of Indefinite Arts Centre artists will be travelling to the Leighton Art Centre this fall for several weeks to participate in our first external residency program that will expose our artists to an inspiring environment and give them an opportunity to work alongside talented Leighton Art Centre staff – with the goal of creating stunning new pieces of landscape/outdoor art that will then be on exhibit in early 2019 at the Leighton Art Centre. More details to come.

June 2018: John’s Crazy Socks Sock Design Contest – In June 2018, the Indefinite Arts Centre partnered with John’s Crazy Socks, a world-renowned sock company founded by John Cronin, an entrepreneur living with Down syndrome, and his father Mark. This company has generated incredible worldwide attention for this extraordinary success story – now shipping to more than 40 countries and generating more than $4 million US in annual revenue. For the first time, John’s Crazy Socks has partnered with a Canadian charity – Indefinite Arts Centre – to launch a sock design contest, where the winner will be featured as a “Sock of the Month,” with a portion of the proceeds supporting our organization. Congratulations to Leonka Kaluha – her Peanut Dancing on Daisies won the contest, announced at our Annual General Meeting in June 2018.
